Troubleshoot a broken setup with --safe-mode
What it does
--safe-mode starts with every customization off (CLAUDE.md, skills, plugins, hooks, MCP servers, custom commands and agents, and more) while sign-in, model choice, built-in tools and permissions keep working. If the problem goes away, it lives in your own config. Unlike --bare, it does not restrict how you sign in; admin-managed policy settings still apply.
